Grief, hatred, abandonment, death, persecution touched David. In this Psalm he speaks of the God who knows him intimately and compassionately. God gives David a framework of sanity to organize impending chaos. God blesses David with joy and delight. The Lord watches our way, in Hebrew derek. He sees our path of trauma. He is with us.
