Introduction
Welcome to the Revelation and Porn Workshop. For the first time in 3500 years of Biblical literary history all sexuality terms and images of Revelation appear in one place for review and input. The purpose of this workshop attempts to restore the Scriptural basis for sexual health belief and practice for people of faith.
The workshop provides all Revelation sexual health terms in the original languages. Current technology allows readers to examine all words and their meanings in the Biblical context in which they are given. At no time does the workshop intend to dictate gender politics or moralize. The objective seeks to give caregivers tools so they may teach their children as the Scriptures mandate. When controversy emerges in the sacred texts, options will be given for the readers to choose and apply in their unique faith culture.
Rev. Dr. Glen Maiden PhD, DMin has been a pastoral sexual health educator and counselor for over 4 decades in faith based communities. His undergraduate degree from Asbury University (1984) majored in Bible and Biblical Languages of Hebrew, Koine Greek, and Classical Greek. Dr. Glen earned a masters in New Testament and Christian Education from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (1987). The Doctor of Ministry from Western Theological Seminary focused on the neuroscience and theology of treating addiction and trauma. His PhD in Clinical Sexology from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology examined the Book of Genesis as a sexual health primer for families (2022). Dr. Glen is a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Washington, and holds certifications in sex addiction treatment, multiple addiction recovery, and has board certification as a Christian sex therapist.
How to Use this Workbook
The Revelation and Porn Workshop uses Biblical theology or the “Scripture interpreting Scripture” method for translation. Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic for the Old Testament, Koine Greek and Classical Greek for the New Testament define sexual health vocabulary. All English Bible citations come from the The New International Version (NIV) unless otherwise stated because it is the current preferred English translation of the Bible (Rainer, 2021). The Old Testament Hebrew text reflects the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC) and the Greek New Testament bases on the Morphological Greek New Testament (GNT) for accuracy.
Each sexual health term identifies with a unique number as it appears in the Bible. For example, porneuo, to sex traffic humans, is identified with 72 as its Hebrew counterpart appears in the unhealthy sexuality terms of the Old Testament. Since the word, “to sex traffic humans “also appears in the New Testament the term is labeled 72G standing for 72 Greek and 72H for Hebrew.
72G. To Sex Traffic Humans, por-NEW-oh (Rev 2:20) Strong, g4203
Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality (por-NEW-oh) and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.
8 times in 7 GNT (Morphological Greek New Testament) verses
72H. Sacred Sex Trafficking, zah-NAH (Gen 34:31) Strong, h2181
But they replied, “Should he have treated our sister like a prostitute (zah-NAH)?”
93 times in 81 WLC (Westminster Leningrad Codex) verses
The term “to sex traffic humans”, por-NEW-oh, is followed by the phonetic Greek spelling so the reader may pronounce it correctly. The emphasis falls on the second syllable, NEW with voice inflection. Parentheses mark the Biblical citation, (Rev 2:20) so the reader can examine the Biblical verse for herself. Hover a cursor over the citation and the option of “clicking on” a link leads to the Blue Letter Bible (BLB). This is breakthrough technology for studying sexual health terms. Some of the features of the (BLB) are:
Multiple translations
Definitions
Original languages
Commentaries
Lists of word use in the entire Bible
Next, the Strong’s concordance number appears, Strong, g4203. Hover a cursor over the Strong’s number and the reader links to the Blue Letter Bible (BLB) to examine how a word translates throughout the entire Bible. Finally, the number of times the term appears within verses of the Greek Morphological New Testament (GNT) occurs.
The Old Testament term for sex trafficking humans, zah-NAH follows the same method. 72H means the term parallels the (GNT) New Testament por-NEW-oh 72G. Next the phonetic pronunciation appears, zah-NAH. Emphasis falls on the second syllable, NAH. Within parentheses the citation Gen 34:31, can be clicked on linking to the Blue Letter Bible (BLB) verse for examination. Finally, the number of times the term appears and in verses occurs.
The Hope of the Revelation Workshop
The vision of the Workshop restores the Word of God back into the hands of caregivers. Faith based families believe in the dynamic of God’s word to change not only humankind but the individual heart and family. The great reformations of history including Moses, Josiah, The Prophets, Jesus, and the early church were at core sexual health revolutions. All great cultural revolutions of faith focused on intimacy with God and the Bible’s sexual health and safety vision for children.
The prayerful outcome of this work seeks to bring sexual education choices back to caregivers based on the sacred text of God’s word. What if this generation can replace the porn industry as the primary sexual health educator for our children? What if this reform bases on the word of God? Could this freedom dream become a revolution of faith for 4 billion people today who revere parts of or the totality of The Bible?
Please download the free HOPE XP app from all stores for the free content. The content is without fee, a humble donation is requested for the workshop with its workbook so this vision can continue.
