This event was a hit! We examined cybersex statistics, current technologies of assessment and treatment, and finally…hope.

Thank you so much for hosting the event today. That was very educational – I have never even heard nor contemplated so much of what was discussed. Dr. Maiden presented an excellent workshop on Healthy Sexuality. He presented a difficult subject using his charm and humor to engage his audience. He clearly described what makes a sex addict and the arousal template or family of origin template that perpetuates addiction if healing through connection and therapy is not pursued. He is compassionate and accepting when dealing with the addict also explaining the goal of pursuing healthy intimacy and healing. The education presented is information that every individual living in this time needs to be aware of to reduce the shame that only sustains and prolongs addiction.

Dr. Maiden's presentation is a very informative and eye opening revelation of the current state of our society in regards to sexual addiction and obsession. This presentation shows how sex is all around us, sometimes even at the breakfast table. Dr. Maiden explains how sexuality is a major piece of who we are, how we think, how we act and how these traits are developed and influenced by childhood experiences; both sexual and non-sexual. Dr. Maiden delivers this difficult subject matter very tastefully.
